How stupid are humans? I’ll tell you how stupid…
Long before the recent round of now emergency level AI warnings from supposedly “smart” people who are so stupid they created robots that can kill us all, Stephen Hawking cautioned that the development of full Artificial Intelligence could spell the end of the human race. Of course, nothing stopped anyone then and looks like nothing much is stopping anyone now. Hawking stated that once humans develop full AI, the system would take off on its own and redesign itself at an ever-increasing rate much to our chagrin.
The way I see it, me and my fellow humans, are looking at a somewhat probable end of the world scenario by Artificial Intelligence created by stupid “smart” people, or, accelerated climate change exacerbated by just plain stupid people. Apparently, the end times appear way sooner than later without a major intervention.
Now I don’t know if this news story was it, or it’s just that I have lost my mind once again and need my own intervention, because for some insane reason I went back on the dating app Hinge. Looks like I might be the stupid one in this scenario.
Why? I keep asking myself as I scroll through the same series of men who have been on the app for years. Just like me, apparently.
Am I that desperate to find love before the end of the world? Looks like I might be. Well, they do say love is eternal, and in this day and age, that’s not nothing.
However, if it really is the end times shouldn’t I just party like it’s 1999? One thing is for sure, dating apps are no party. And quite honestly, dating is not so much a party as grumpy married folks fantasize that it is. So, rest assured unhappy marrieds, just stay married, as I’ve stated before. It doesn’t get better out here in the singles wilderness.
Need some more proof on stupid? Check out this man’s profile statement verbatim, who recently contacted me on Hinge, “I’m now married to a mentally disturbed woman. I’m on my way to a divorce. She knows all about it. I’m not cheating. I don’t keep secrets. I want loving life.”
Yes, these surely must be the end times. I couldn’t help but wonder who the mentally disturbed person is in that relationship? What is going on out there in the world?
Seriously, why am I wasting my time?
Being single, living alone, doing what I want, when I want, is looking way better by the minute at this point. Now I just need help getting off the apps once and for all. President Snow in the Hunger Games said that a little bit of hope can be a dangerous thing. Well, apparently, it is, because it keeps me coming back to downloading the apps again and again, hoping for a real connection.

Not only am I looking for love, but I’m also looking for smart. And I don’t mean stupid smart. Real smart. And not artificial smart, thank you very much.
What the world needs now is smart, real smart. It’s the only thing, that’s there’s just too little of…
