Micah Sings Broadway: Shabbat Edition
Immerse yourself in an evening of Broadway-inspired music at Congregation Micah on Friday, May 29, at 6 p.m., when our sanctuary transforms into a full musical Shabbat experience.
Back by popular demand, we’ll sing our prayers to the tunes of Broadway for this special service. With familiar melodies and a lively, participatory spirit, this Shabbat will bring the energy and emotion of the stage into our sanctuary.
We invite all who love music and Shabbat, along with musical theater enthusiasts, to join us for this unique and engaging service that highlights the natural connection between Judaism and Broadway.
Micah Young Adult Challah ‘N Havdalah
Join Micah-Nections, our community for young adults in their 20s and 30s, for Challah ‘N Havdalah on Saturday, May 9. We’ll begin the evening with a scrumptious pizza dinner on the patio of a welcoming East Nashville home.
From there, we’ll learn from Liza Moskowitz of Liza’s Loaves about the art and meaning behind challah braiding. As we braid, we’ll take time to reflect on Shabbat and share how we each weave Judaism into our daily lives.
You’ll leave with your own beautifully braided challah, ready to bake at home. We’ll close the evening with a joyful Havdalah celebration as we mark the transition into a new week.
To sign up or to be added to the Micah-Nections list for future programs, please contact Sophie Kieffer, Member and Community Engagement director at sophie@congregationmicah.org.
