Micah’s Shabbat in the Round Brings Joyful Music to Shabbat

Immerse in an evening of joyful music making and celebratory song at Congregation Micah’s Shabbat In The Round. On Friday, March 13th at 6 pm, our social hall transforms into an inviting Shabbat song circle filled with laughter, connection, and delight.

For this sacred Shabbat gathering, we will try something a little different: a service in the round, with chairs arranged in a circle instead of our usual seating. This experience allows Shabbat participants to look around and see every face, creating a sense of equality and belonging. Prayers, songs, and reflections feel more intimate as voices rise together from within the community rather than from a singular direction. The circle itself becomes a symbol of wholeness, an unbroken space of warmth, spirit, and togetherness.

Rooted in a desire to foster deep connection, Shabbat in the Round invites us to slow down, listen closely, and sing boldly. The melodies are accessible, the spirit is open, and every voice matters. Whether you love to harmonize, clap along, or simply sit and absorb the sound, your presence helps create the sacred rhythm of the evening.

We invite all music makers and meaning makers into this participatory Shabbat service intended to uplift our souls, nourish our hearts, and heal our bodies.
