Douglas Small Honored with FAA Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award

Douglas Small  has been awarded the Federal Aviation Administration’s Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award, the most prestigious honor issued by the FAA to civilian pilots. Named after aviation pioneers Wilbur and Orville Wright, the award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exemplary aviation expertise, distinguished professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to flight safety for at least 50 years of piloting experience.

In addition to personal and professional aviation pursuits, Small has flown as a Volunteer Angel Flight pilot, generously donating his time and aircraft to transport patients and families in need to critical medical care.

The Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award honors not only longevity, but a lifetime of dedication to aviation safety, service, and excellence.
