Emery Sonsino

Emery Sonsino will become a Bat Mitzvah on Saturday, November 6, at 11 a.m. at The Temple. Emery was born June 21, 2008, in Nashville.  Her parents are Michele and Jeffrey Sonsino.  Her grandparents are Keum-ok Lee of Chicago, Ill., and the late Edward G. Bencks of Champaign, Ill.; Laurie Sonsino of Pleasonton, Cal.; and Joseph Sonsino of Pleasonton, Cal. An eighth grader at Harpeth Hall, she enjoys playing the violin and all things sports. She is on a travel soccer team, plays tennis and lacrosse for her school, and loves to ski double black diamonds.

For Emery’s mitzvah project, she held a bake sale at The Temple after the first day of Sunday School and is using the proceeds to buy toys and art supplies for children who will be spending the holidays at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.
