Benjamin Ellis Beckman will become a Bar Mitzvah on Saturday, October 23, at 11 a.m. at The Temple. He was born on October 8, 2007, in Boston, Mass.  The son of Lauren and Joshua Beckman, he is the grandson of  Patricia and Joel Ellis of Stockbridge, Mass., and Irving and the late Esther Beckman of New York, N.Y. 

For his Mitzvah project, Benjamin volunteers with the Special Olympics.  He is an eighth grader at the University School of Nashville.
